_VO2 Max Test
_The VO2 Test measures an individual’s cardiovascular fitness. VO2 is the Volume(V) of Oxygen(O2) consumed per kilogram of body weight per minute. Oxygen
consumption and heart rate are measured as the individual works at an
increasing intensity on a treadmill or bike (CompuTrainer available
for use with your own bike). This test determines peak
oxygen consumption, anaerobic threshold, heart rate training zones, and
recovery. Trained athletes have more endurance, utilize higher levels
of oxygen and therefore, have a higher VO2. You don't have to be an elite athlete to do this test or to utilize the results.
